Science is the story.
I write it.

Medical and science writing for news organisations, academic journals, and health charities. Based in Toronto.

I write for

News & Media

Rigorous, readable reporting on medicine and public health — written to the standards of national outlets and the demands of a general audience.

Academic & Research

Precise, evidence-grounded writing for journals, institutions, and research teams. I understand the science and the conventions.

Health Charities

Content that informs and moves people — written for organisations whose work depends on the public understanding what's at stake.

About

I trained in neuroscience at the University of Toronto and have spent the years since writing about medicine for the people who need it most: patients, practitioners, researchers, and the public.

My work spans neurology, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, reproductive health, geriatric medicine, and infectious disease. I am most interested in the places where new evidence is rewriting what we thought we knew.

Medical writing

its readers.

I'm a Toronto-based science writer. I work with news organisations, researchers, and health charities to turn complex evidence into writing people actually read.

How I can help

News & Media

I write for editors who need a writer who can read a study, find the story in it, and file cleanly. I've written for national outlets and know what that requires.

Academic & Research

I work with researchers who need their findings written for broader audiences — or for journals. I understand both the science and the conventions of the page.

Health Charities

I help organisations communicate the urgency and humanity behind their work — writing that serves the people their research is ultimately about.

About me

I studied neuroscience because I wanted to understand how the body works. I became a writer because I wanted other people to understand it too. That's still the whole job.

I've covered neurological disease, cancer, heart disease, reproductive health, diabetes, geriatric medicine, and more. I'm drawn to the areas where the research is evolving fastest — where what we know today might not be what we know next year.

Get in touch

I'm available for commissions, columns, and ongoing work. If you're not sure whether your project is a good fit, it's worth an email.
